Darren Coady

The first thing one should know is that Mr. Darren P. Coady typically answers to both Coady and/or Darren-also DC, DPC, Co-dee-licious, and a few other variations that will remain secret. Darren is thrilled to be a part of the Dreams For Kids Associate Board! He is also on the Board of Directors (& Philanthropy Committee Chair) for the Fulton River District Association (FDRA).

After graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Darren spent a decade in consulting, technical skills, project management, and business development. He has always been drawn to socially responsible endeavors and is now transitioning his career fully into the non-profit sector. The immediate goal is to leverage his knowledge and experience from the private sector while working to help change lives in a positive way- to generally enhance communities and improve society. Darren recently completed two Graduate Certificates (Non-profit Management & Non-profit Finance) while pursuing a Master’s in Non-profit Administration (MNA) at North Park University.

Darren is originally from Peru, Indiana but looked forward to moving into the big city of Chicago since the age of twelve- something he (finally) accomplished in 2002. He now lives in the lovely Fulton River District, just of the northwest corner of the Loop.
