Welcome to Dreams for Kids DC!
Dreams for Kids DC empowers youth living in poverty and those with disabilities by uniting them with their peers, recognizing their abilities, and allowing their voices to be heard. The most isolated young people from every community in the metropolitan area are reminded they have something to give. While fearlessly pursing their dreams, they are leading others to their own and compassionately changing the world.
Dream Leaders is a youth leadership and service-learning program which empowers youth by helping them build service programs for their community. The Dream Leaders Program brings together a diverse group of young people of all abilities, religions, ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds, giving them an opportunity to engage in leadership training, while learning how to become significant change makers and social entrepreneurs. After the Dream Leaders Conference, the kick off to the program, we enable our Dream Leaders to lead the service movement in DC and engage in truly one of a kind service events such as Adaptive Baseball Clinics with the Washington Nationals, volunteering with the US Center for Citizen Diplomacy, and working with the Street Soccer USA (homeless rehabilitation organization) tournament.
