Our site’s contact form requires users such as donors, newsletter subscribers, program and site registrations, volunteers, contact form submissions, act to give us contact information (like their name and email address). We use donor contact information from the registration form to send the user our electronic newsletter and other information about Dreams for Kids. The donor's contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below.

We will not give, or sell your email address. The only exception to this is if another charity assumes responsibility and takes control of our donor list. In that case, you will be given two weeks' notice before the transfer to opt-out.

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Our shopping cart is run on a secure server. If you directly email us, we suggest that you send two emails and separate your credit card number in two sections. Send half the number in one email and the other half plus the expiration date in the other email.

Children Under Age 13

This website and our activities and services are not directed at children under the age of 13 unless a parent or guardian signed consent has been received by Dreams for Kids for such a child.  The privacy and protection of children who access the internet are important to us.  Accordingly, we comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).  Consequently, this website is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 without the supervision of a parent or guardian, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 13 years of age) without the written consent of a parent or guardian.

If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any personally identifiable information to us. You may rely on your parent or guardian to assist you. This site gives users the following options for removing their information from our database to not receive future communications.
