Dreams continue
Dear Friends,
Emerging from the pandemic, Chicago’s youth need our help more than ever. Dreams for Kids initiatives focus on building community and leadership skills among young people at risk and with limited means.
In order to ensure the future strength of signature programs, Dreams for Kids (DFK) united this summer with longtime partner, Global Citizenship Experience (GCE) Lab School. GCE assumed DFK programs and curriculum, and Dreams for Kids now enters the next phase in its over 30-year history.*
With us, you have played an integral part in transforming thousands of lives. The Dreams for Kids legacy lives on. The programs you have come to love, including the Holiday for Hope toy drive, as well as the We Are The Change conferences and workshops, will live on as well, growing and evolving in their new home. Together, we will continue to make a difference, nurturing the next generation of Dream Leaders.
GCE is not just a school. GCE exists to equip and amplify youth voices, unite communities, and to face boldly the shared challenges of our uncertain future. DFK and GCE missions align in community-driven initiatives that prepare youth to become college and job-ready global citizens. We look forward to welcoming you to GCE’s brand new downtown campus and to the next level of Dreams for Kids!
The GCE team is eager to connect with DFK supporters and program participants as we work together in creating our shared vision for the future. Your support during this transition and into this exciting next step is invaluable. Nothing we do is possible without you.
In gratitude,
